western_riderThis year is the the thirtieth Narberth Civic Week and the Committee have announced the  programme of fun-filled, family-friendly events, which begin as usual with the Civic Parade on Sunday 19 July.

Plans are being made to make the 2009 Carnival Day [a tradition going back over 100 years], Saturday 25 July, an extra-special occasion, with a fantastic Grand Prize of £1,000 for the best overall float, thanks to the kind sponsorship of local businesses!

SUNDAY 19 JULY
9.45 a.m. Civic Parade starting from the Queens Hall
10.00 a.m. Civic Service at Bethesda Chapel
12.00 noon Civic Luncheon at the Queens Hall
3.00 p.m.. Wet’n Wild on the Town Moor
5.00 p.m. Car treasure hunt from the RAOB Club, in the carpark.
7.30 p.m. Songs of Praise at Bethesda Chapel
MONDAY 20 JULY
10.00 - 12.00 noon 'Ming to Bling' work shop at the Bus Stop building, bottom of carpark.
10.30 a.m. 'Beat the Goalie', on the astro pitch
2.00 p.m. Tea Dance at the Queens Hall
4.00 - 5.00 p.m. Dragon  Superfuntime at the swimming pool
4.00 - 5.00 p.m. Line Dancing taster session at the Queens Hall
8.00 p.m. Bingo, run by Narberth F.C. at the Rugby Club
8.00 p.m. Live music at the Kirkland

TUESDAY 21  JULY

10.00 - 4.00 p.m. Quilting exhibition at Bethesda Chapel
11.00 a.m. Family Fun Quiz at the Rugby Club
4.00 - 5.00 p.m. Dragon swim (snorkelling) swimming pool
4.30 - 6.30 p.m. Children’s disco at the Rugby Club
6.30 p.m. Grasstrack Race Meeting at West Atheston Farm
7.30 p.m. Fun at The Ivy Bush
WEDNESDAY 22 JULY
10.00 - 4.00 p.m. Quilting exhibition at Bethesda Chapel
10.30 a.m. 'Steps to Health' walk
11.30 a.m. Teens Treasure Hunt - cash prize - starts at the RAOB Club
1.30 p.m. Baby Show at the Queens Hall

2.45 p.m. Judging of the 'Walking' entries and presentation of prizes on the Town Moor
Choir at Bethesda Chapel
7.00 - 8.00 p.m. Live music at the Angel Inn
7.30 p.m. Boogie Night Dance at the Queens Hall

Had a great day at the carnival.first Carnival for 5 years and as usual a brilliant welcome from the Narberth people..see you for the winter parade..

Looking foreward to the carnival, havn't been for a few years, not since the West side all stars comedy band appeared there before disbanding..BUT WERE BACK !!!..see you on the 25th
