Heroin Seized in Pembrokeshire

thumb_dfyedpowys_228x283Suspected heroin with a street value of over £3,000 has been seized by police in Pembrokeshire as part of Operation Poker.

A 48 -year-old man from Clarbeston Road has been charged with possession with intent to supply and a 29-year-old man from Haverfordwest was jointly charged with being concerned in the supply of drugs. Both will appear before Haverfordwest Magistrates court this morning.

Operation Poker is a multi-agency operation aimed at reducing the harm heroin causes to the communities of Pembrokeshire.

Inspector Andy Phillip said: "This drug was destined for the streets of Pembrokeshire and could have equated to approximately 3,000 deals.

"We will continue to target dealers to ensure heroin does not get a grip on our communities."
