The aim of neighbourhood policing is to achieve safe and secure neighbourhoods
through providing a service which is tailored to local needs, is visible and
accessible to all, provides opportunities for people to influence local community
safety priorities, works in partnership with other local organisations, and resolves
problems and answers local concerns.

PC Jackie Howells
PC Jackie Howells joined the police in 2001, moving to Narberth in April 2007 as part of the Neighbourhood Policing Team. She said: "I moved to Narberth to engage with the local community and get ‘out-and-about’ around the many villages and communities which our team serves. It has been truly satisfying to see the difference that Neighbourhood Policing has so far made and will continue to make". |

PCSO David Henry
PCSO David Henry spent over 26 years in the Royal Navy Submarine Service before joining as a PCSO in Haverfordwest in 2005. He joined the Narberth
team in May 2007. He said: “I have enjoyed the challenge of rolling
out the Neighbourhood Policing module in the Narberth area. This is an
area close to my home and therefore I am dedicated to trying to making
quality-of-life issues that much better. It has been extremely rewarding
so far to see the difference Neighbourhood Policing can make to an area
and look forward to continuing to serve the communities of Narberth and
its surrounding districts”
