Four pupils from Pembrokeshire represented the County at a major children's book award recently.
Ramona Sharples and Ewan Meredith from Templeton School, near Narberth and Eleri Evans and Zoe Thorp from Pembroke Comprehensive took part in the Red House Children's Book Award ceremony in Birmingham earlier this month.
The Red House Children's Book Award is unique in that the winner is chosen solely by youngsters.
Thousands of children from across the UK, including Pembrokeshire, took part in the vote, which was won by Sophie McKenzie for her thriller Blood Ties.
Sophie beat category winners Allan Ahlberg (Younger Children) and Kes Gray (Younger Readers) to take the overall prize.
The Pembrokeshire youngsters were lucky enough to be sitting at the same table as the winning author at the ceremony.
