front-after-6639Goldie Lookin Chain and the 70s band, Eddie & The Hot Rods have been confirmed as two of the headline acts to be performing at this year's Celtic Blue Rock Festival, held on a hilltop above the village of Llanfyrnach in north Pembrokeshire.

The line up for the 2010 festival will see over a hundred bands performing, including many new and young bands from Pembrokeshire and beyond, giving them an opportunity to be heard side by side with established acts.

Many more local musicians and bands are submitting their demo discs for inclusion on the line up for the 4 stages at this years event. More bands names will be announced on the festival website on a regular basis.

The voluntary chairman of the festival Holly Cross noted: "It's great that the festival can offer a great deal for families, with kids 12 and under attending for free. The camping, parking and entry price for the 3 days is included in the one off £35 price" Holly noted "We have allocated a larger block of Early and Lazy bird tickets this year and already over three quarters have been snapped up. It just shows that the Blue Rock Festival is such good value for money."

The festival is also a fantastic community gathering with many free Eco, craft, DJ and music workshops while the food, drink and entertainment is a genuine treat with an international flavour.

Anyone interested in catching the special deal will need to purchase their tickets before the first of March. Tickets can be bought from the festival website www.celticbluerock.org or via phone and postal payment by contacting the festival office on 01239 831968.

There will be a special coffee morning this Saturday 6th of February from 10am to 1pm at the Festival office site at Hermon Community Centre with live music and a chance to purchase the tickets on site.

Well there's two bands I have no interest in at all Doesn't matter how enthusiastic the 'voluntary' [ie amateur] organisers are, they don't seem to have yet learned how to keep attracting people to this festival. I used to go, but its always the same thing each year and so many of the 'bands' are just rubbish. Most of my friends no longer go either. Oh well smilies/cool.gif
